چکیده

The demolition of brick masonry structures and the rejected non-conform bricks are generating a great volume residues. use recycled sand from residues in production mortar could decrease amount waste going into landfills reduce consumption natural resources. This paper investigated feasibility using crushed (RBS) self-compacting (SCM). limestone was partially replaced with RBS at different levels (0, 5, 10, 25 50%). properties fresh state, mechanical behavoir, drying shrinkage durability SCM were discussed. As substitution by increased, compressive strength mortars slightly reduced age 28 days (3.3% 16.9% lower than reference , respectively for 25% 50% content); however, which is within requirement European standard EN 998-2 mortars. incorporation showed better resistance to chloride diffusion, whereas more attention should be paid carbonation sulphate attack . results indicate that it possible manufacture replacing up replacement level. • (SCM) made content investigated. It able control spread flow property 50%. as increased. diffusion. feasible substituting NS 25%.

Durability Performance of Self Compacting Concrete Incorporating Alccofine and Fly Ash

The cost associated with the application of large volume of cement and synthetic admixtures was one of the major drawbacks of Self Compacting Concrete (SCC), which can be reduced by the use of supplementary cementitious materials (SCM). When the demand of cement reduces, the release of carbon dioxide (CO2) from cement industries will come down, which has a positive impact on global w...
